Planning division is one of the divisions in General Administration Department. It relates with Preparation and Monitoring of Annual Plan, Five Year Plan. The decentralised district planning and 20 Point Programme is being monitored by this division.

Outlay of Rs. 8300 crore is provided for Annual Plan 2004-2005. Rs.47000 crore is provided for Tenth Five Year Plan 2002-2007 by State Government. The Plan size of the Annual Plan for the year 2005-2006 has been fixed at Rs. 11000 crore.
